Our Beliefs
Founded on the Holy Scriptures, our faith is built upon the Word of God.
Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold 28 fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs are organized into six categories exploring the doctrines of God, man, salvation, the church, Christian life, and last-day events.

Holy Scriptures
The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration and the infallible standard for faith and practice.
The Trinity
There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three coeternal Persons, infinite and beyond full human understanding, yet near to every heart.
God the Father
God the eternal Father is the Creator, Source, Sustainer, and Sovereign of all creation, just and holy, merciful and slow to anger.
God the Son
God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created; He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the ever-present power of God, active in creation and Scripture, convicting hearts, and equipping believers with gifts for service.
Creation
God created the heavens, the earth, and all living things in six literal days, and rested on the seventh, establishing the Sabbath as a memorial of creation.
Doctrines of Man
The Nature of Humanity
Man and woman were made in the image of God, with dignity and freedom of choice. Through sin, that image was marred, leaving humanity in need of redemption.
The Great Controversy
Behind human history lies a cosmic conflict between Christ and Satan over God's character and law, a struggle in which every heart takes part.
Doctrines of Salvation
Life, Death, and Resurrection of Christ
Through His sinless life, sacrificial death, and bodily resurrection, Christ secured forgiveness and eternal life for all who put their trust in Him.
The Experience of Salvation
Salvation is God's gift, received by grace through faith in Christ alone, bringing forgiveness, new birth, and a growing relationship with Him.
Growing in Christ
Through the Spirit, prayer, Scripture, and worship, believers grow daily into Christlike maturity and stand firm against the forces of evil.

Doctrines of the Church
The Church
The church is the community of believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord, called out from the world for worship, fellowship, and mission together.
The Remnant and Its Mission
In the last days, a faithful remnant keeps God's commandments and the faith of Jesus, proclaiming the everlasting gospel to every nation.
Unity in the Body of Christ
All believers, whatever their background, are one in Christ, joined by the Spirit into a single body of fellowship, service, and shared mission.
Baptism
Baptism by immersion symbolizes union with Christ's death and resurrection, following repentance and faith, and marks entrance into the church family.
The Lord's Supper
Communion in the bread and cup proclaims Christ's sacrifice until He returns, preceded by foot-washing as a symbol of humble service.
Spiritual Gifts and Ministries
The Holy Spirit gives every believer gifts to build up the church and carry out its mission, each member contributing to the body of Christ.
The Gift of Prophecy
Scripture identifies the gift of prophecy as a mark of the remnant church, a gift Adventists recognize in the ministry of Ellen G. White.

The Law of God
The Ten Commandments express God's unchanging character and remain the standard for righteous living, revealing sin and pointing us to grace.
The Sabbath
The seventh-day Sabbath, from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, is God's gift of weekly rest and worship, a memorial of creation and a foretaste of eternity.
Stewardship
Believers are entrusted by God to faithfully manage their time, talents, finances, and the earth's resources, returning tithe and offerings in gratitude.
Christian Behavior
Believers are called to wholesome living that reflects biblical principles of health, modesty, and integrity in every area of daily life.
Marriage and the Family
Marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and the family is meant to reflect love, respect, and God's grace to one another.
Doctrines of Last Things
Christ's Ministry in the Heavenly Sanctuary
Since 1844, Christ has carried out the final phase of His atoning ministry in heaven, a work of judgment that prepares the way for His return.
The Second Coming of Christ
Christ's return will be literal, visible, and glorious, the blessed hope of the church, bringing resurrection and reunion with the righteous.
Death and Resurrection
Death is a state of rest, like sleep, until the resurrection, when the righteous will rise to eternal life at Christ's coming.
The Millennium and the End of Sin
After the Second Coming, the redeemed reign with Christ in heaven for a thousand years, after which sin and evil are finally and permanently ended.
The New Earth
God will recreate the earth as an eternal home for the redeemed, free from sin, suffering, and death, where He dwells with His people forever.
